August's Rake Race

August is going to be a huge month here with our exciting Rake Races! Players with varying styles of play will all be able to earn awesome cash prizes just for playing the game!

It all begins on the 1st of August... starting at midnight EDT, two simultaneous Rake Races will be in effect.

For the first Rake Race, players will be ranked and rewarded based on their overall amount of PokerPoints earned for the duration of the race. (Click here to learn more about how PokerPoints work)

There will be a hefty sum of $3,000 in prizes divided up as follows:

• 1st - $750
• 2nd - $500
• 3rd - $350
• 4th - $250
• 5th - $150
• 6th - $100
• 7th - $75
• 8th - $50
• 9th - $25
• 10th-75th - $10

For those who play smaller limits and are thinking they might not be able to earn enough PokerPoints to get themselves the top spots... we've got your backs!

The second Rake Race will rank and reward players based on the total amount of rake hands played - dollar amount disregarded.

We'll be giving out another $1,000 in prizes for this race, divided up as follows:

• 1st - $250
• 2nd - $150
• 3rd - $100
• 4th - $80
• 5th - $60
• 6th - $50
• 7th - $40
• 8th - $30
• 9th - $20
• 10th - $10
• 11th-50th - $5

Both of these Rake Races will conclude at 23:59 EDT on the 15th of August. There's over $4,000 at stake already, but that's not all!

Starting at midnight EDT on the 16th of August, the two races will start fresh all over again with an identical setup! The second set of races will end at 23:59 EDT on the 31st of August.

That adds up to a massive $8,000 up for grabs in just a month!
